The race was uneventful for the first 40 laps then everything that could happen, did happen. Irishmen crashing into each other, spin-outs, retirements, pushing and shoving and an incident involving Jeff Simpson, Phil White and Steve Skitmore that led to a disqualification and an exclusion that kept the crowd talking for hours after.
